Encounter Your Potential Sales & Business Development Internship


Encounter Your Potential is a full-service Marketing and Branding agency based out of New York City. We strive to bring big agency creativity and service to every client we serve. We service clients with branding, strategic marketing, business development planning, social media consulting and management, business consulting and more. Our client list consists of clients across industries including technology, media entertainment, e-commerce, health and beauty.  


This is an opportunity to have a fundamental impact on the success of a rapidly growing company. As we grow, we're seeking those with a background in Sales coupled with exceptional marketing knowledge to join us in a Business Development capacity.

In this role, you will have the exciting opportunity to deliver on our strategy to build our client portfolio, revenue and reach of services for all Encounter Your Potential lines of business. 


In this Business Development role, you are responsible for building relationships with potential and existing clients, educating them on our services, establishing an initial scope of work, and then fostering that relationship through ongoing servicing. You’ll also be responsible for creating strategies, proposals, and pitch decks. Based on client briefings you will work closely with the appropriate internal stakeholders to shape the best marketing solution.


Encounter Your Potential interns will be provided with hands-on, day-in-the-life experience working with an interactive, fast paced, digital first, results driven agency.

  • Build, prospect maintain and close prospective clients

  • Desk-to-desk rollout of key projects 

  • Brainstorm, collaborate and innovate creative solutions to deliver value to new clients

  • Partner closely with our Client Solutions / Project Management team to support onboarding and Servicing of clients 

  • Collaborate with client teams to deliver on pre-set expectations.


Skills Requirements


  • Hard worker who’s good with details

  • Strong writing and grammar skills

  • Self-motivated and results driven

  • Knowledge of Google Drive

  • B2B Experience or Interest

  • Interest in marketing and branding

  • Strong interest and familiarity in social media, digital media, and communications 

  • Creative thinker with the ability to multi-task and change gears quickly

  • Agile, flexible, and able to think strategically 



Hours per week: 20 hours to be tracked via Project Management Tool

Encounter Your Potential is willing to work with interns’ schedules as to what days of the week would be most convenient to complete a work week of 20 hours. However, flexibility must provide availability to be present during 2 hour long daytime (between 10am - 6pm) webinars which a schedule is provided for 2 weeks in advance.
